Mat Man!

We use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to help teach handwriting. One component of this program is Mat Man. Mat Man helps us think of the various shapes when drawing a person. I'll post more about this again but for now, we talk about shapes and letters in terms of big line, little line, big curve and little curve. Here are a few pictures of our finished Mat Man along with some pictures of us polishing the lines and curves (to get a good sense of them) and build large mat men.
