Nature Walk Art

Yesterday after the parade, our class went on a nature walk around campus. Each student was given a brown paper bag with the challenge of finding things in nature that they could make an art project out of. The kids took this job very seriously and hunted for LOTS of stuff! (Looking at the floor as I write this, we could probably go on another nature walk in the classroom!)

Today we created! To begin we carefully emptied our bags and inspected our treasures. We moved them around on the table until we created just what we wanted. At that point anything extra was placed on a small table for others to "shop" at because as you know, "sharing is caring!"

The kids glued their creations onto colorful card stock and placed them on the shelf to dry overnight. Their creations came out really well. I think the best part was listening to all of the encouragement, compliments, and sharing with one another. This truly is a special group!

Swim!
