Pumpkins
Today we observed a pumpkin at morning meeting and we shared what we noticed. Here are some of our class observations. We also learned why pumpkins are orange...see if your child can remember! (Here is a 5 min. video we watched if you are interested. )
It has a long stem.
There are some dots on it.
Shaped as an oval, its orange and it has a stem.
It has a hole in it.
It barely has any lines on the sides.
There is some dirt on it.
The lines on the stem are barley twisted.
The stem is a little curvey.
It's orange.
It's kind of tipping over.
There are dents in it.
The stem looks like a witch hat.
The stem is kind of pointy and diagonal.
Its a little bumpy
At the bottom of the stem it's a little black.
This week we have been singing the song "The 5 Little Pumpkins". Today we created some art to go along with this song. The kids enjoy singing this song and creating this picture.
